About Ullrigg Test Center

Ullrigg is a full size offshore-style triple rig, situated at Ullandhaug in Stavanger, Norway.

Ullrigg Test Center, UTC, is a unique and complete full-scale test and piloting center for technology, system, methods, and solutions covering everything in drilling and well activities.

UTC consists of a full-scale offshore type drilling rig, 8 different well configurations, specially developed test halls, and test rigs adapted to current industry requirements for commercial use.

The Test Center has more than 45 years of industry experience in testing and piloting. Self-sufficient with all necessary support functions, subjects, and expertise facilitated for the most efficient and needs-adapted service delivery.

UTC does not conduct any kind of own product or service development. Our expertise and capacity are devoted uninterrupted to our customers to ensure the best possible results and value.

The History of Ullrigg

Ullrigg spudded its first well in late 1984, and the official opening was in 1985 by the renowned Stavanger politican; Arne Rettedal.
